Wondering how you can support AFC Wimbledon Foundation
We’ve come up with lots of ideas below, so you can feel inspired to fundraise.
A
Aerobics class - Set up an online aerobics class and get friends and family to pay a donation to join.
B
Birthday - Hold a birthday party, get dressed up, share a drink and play some games. Set up your own 'Give in Celebration' page and ask your friends and family to donate to AFC Wimbledon Foundation instead of giving you presents or buying you a pint.
C
Climb to new heights…on your stairs - Get sponsored to climb the equivalent of major global landmarks like the Eiffel Tower or Ben Nevis over a week using your own stairs.
Collection - Organise a collection in your community or run a virtual collection online. Use Facebook to live stream and talk about the Foundation and your followers can click on the donate button.
D
Dechox - Put your will power to the test, give up chocolate for a month, set up a Fundraising Page and ask family and friends to sponsor you. If chocolate isn’t your vice, why not give up something else?
E
Endurance Challenge - Get sponsored to do 1000 squats or hold a plank for as long as you can.
F
Film Club - Pick a film to watch, meet up with your friends to discuss the film and ask for a donation to take part. You could use Netflix Party to watch the film at the same time, or host a book club instead?
Football Game or tournament: hold a charity game or tournament with friends; get all teams to pay a £5er to play and hold a raffle for the spectators.
G
Games night - Host an evening of games and challenges with friends. Add a bit of extra fundraising into the night by giving penalty fines for being late or talking about work.
Good Deeds - Its more important than ever to be kind, so why not set up an online fundraising page and get sponsored to do a good deed a day.
H
Hold a bake sale: Bake as many cakes as you can and sell them at work, school or in your community
J
Jewellery collection, jewellery making/selling - If you have high value pieces you're looking to donate, an auction could be the best route for you. Or if your skill set lies in making, why not put on a 'make-your-own' craft session?
K
Karaoke - Meet your friends at the local karaoke bar, or meet online and use a platform like Watch2Gether to set up your karaoke – it allows you all to watch videos at the same time. Put in your requests, load up the songs on YouTube and get singing.
L
Lunch and learn - Set up a time for people to meet and learn over lunch. You could invite a guest speaker to talk about a specialist subject or you could share skills such as knitting, cooking or photography.
M
Miles at Home - Set yourself a target to complete a certain number of miles or steps in a certain amount of time. You could challenge yourself to do 20,000 steps a day for a month or cycle 5 miles a day for a month,
N
All Night Long - Know any budding DJ’s or musicians? Get everyone together and live stream your sets for friends and family to dance along to and ask for donations.
O
Office Collection Day / Office Fundraising - Short of time but eager to make a difference? Then fundraising in the office could be the right activity for you. Charity fundraising activities for the office could include bake sales, an office Olympics, a dress-down day or perhaps take breakfast orders and set-up your own tea trolley. A morning coffee could make your colleagues more than happy to sponsor you!
P
Party Time - Get dressed to the nines, get your favourite music on, and party food out. Meet with friends and ask for donations. You could host a best dressed or best dance move competition or host a quiz to get the party started.
