Girls Pathway Coach (2026/27 Season)

Role description:

AFC Wimbledon Foundation are seeking enthusiastic and committed coaches to join our Girls’ Pathway Programme for the 2026/27 season.

Our Girls’ Pathway programme is designed to enhance the integration between youth football and the women’s first team at AFC Wimbledon. This initiative offers a clear and ambitious pathway for girls aspiring to progress to the AFC Wimbledon Women's first team. By fostering a high-quality environment for both players and coaches, we aim to help talented girls from Wimbledon and the surrounding areas reach their full potential.

Role Type: Voluntary

Location: South London-based sessions, primarily across Merton, Wandsworth and neighbouring boroughs.

Key Commitments

Two training sessions per week
Matchdays on Saturdays

Squads for 2026/27:

  • Under 12s

  • Under 13s

  • Under 14s

  • Under 15s

  • Under 16s

  • Under 18s

All squads compete in the Junior Premier League (JPL), with fixtures played on Saturdays

Qualifications

Essential:

· FA Level 1 / Introduction to Coaching Football

· FA Introduction to First Aid in Football

· FA Safeguarding Children

· Must hold or be willing to complete an FA Enhanced DBS check

Desirable:

· FA Level 2 / UEFA C

MiniBus Driver - D1

Role description:
AFC Wimbledon Foundation is seeking an enthusiastic staff member to provide a reliable transport service from a variety of venues, transporting staff and players.

Salary: £14 per hour + holiday pay
Department: Sports Participation & Education
Location: Cherry Red Records Stadium, Plough Lane, London, SW17 0NR

Accountable To: Head of Sport & Education
Contract Type: Casual Contract
Hours as agreed with line manager, evenings and weekends and antisocial hours as required. With a specific focus on post 16 education away fixtures which take place on a Wednesday 8am-5pm

Role Purpose
To drive AFC Wimbledon Foundation’s minibus for fixtures, competitions and events across a range of projects.

sessional coach - Women & Girls

Role description:
AFC Wimbledon Foundation are looking to recruit additional casual coaches to initially deliver our Women and Girls programmes as well as mixed provision. This role may cover programmes such as after-school clubs, Saturday morning sessions and holiday courses, as well as our Player Development Centre and Women’s Fitness Classes, with a view to increased hours and curriculum delivery in the future.

Pay will vary depending on qualifications, experience and hours worked. AFC Wimbledon Foundation is a London Living Wage employer.

If you hold an FA Level 1 or Level 2 Coaching Award, have experience of working in school and community settings, live locally in the South West London area and are interested in working for a growing Foundation please complete the application form below.

Key working hours:

  • Normal working hours between 9.00am – 9.00pm any six of seven days, evenings and weekends, and anti-social hours as required.

sessional coach - Youth Inclusion

Role description:

AFC Wimbledon Foundation are looking to recruit additional sessional coaches to deliver on our Youth Inclusion programmes, including PL Kicks, Holiday Activity Fund, and Food programmes for children eligible for Free School Meals, and Safer Spaces, a Greater London Authority funded initiative designed to reduce anti-social behaviour through sports.

The aim is to create inclusive diversionary activities away from criminal activity and anti-social behaviour, contributing to safer and stronger communities for our participants to play sport, be active and gain accreditations.

Location: Merton, Wandsworth and neighbouring boroughs.
Start: Immediate
Key working hours: Weekday afternoons and evenings.

Qualifications:
Essential:

  • FA Level 1

  • FA Emergency Aid

  • FA Safeguarding Children

  • Must complete an FA Enhanced DBS

Desirable:

  • FA Level 2 or higher

Volunteer Mentor

Role description:

A partnership of 10 Merton based youth organisations have secured an exciting grant from the Big Lottery, through the Propel initiative.

As a collective we are seeking volunteers to support our partnership programme, Motivate Merton. We are looking for individuals 21+, passionate about positive outcomes for young people and experience of empathy for the challenges they face growing up in London. 

Please note, this is an unpaid volunteer role.

Commitment: 45-90 minute sessions, fortnightly 1:1 mentoring sessions. April 2025 - March 2026

Location: Various locations across the Merton borough
