Project Officer - Women & Girls Football
Role description:
AFC Wimbledon Foundation is looking for a passionate and driven Project Officer to play a key role in transforming the landscape of our local women's and girls' game across the boroughs of Merton and Wandsworth. As momentum continues to grow locally, this is a unique opportunity to deliver inclusive, high-impact football programmes that empower girls and women at every level - from first-time players to emerging talent. Based at the Cherry Red Records Stadium, you’ll work at the heart of one of London’s most community-focused clubs, delivering sessions, organising events, managing participation programmes, and building lasting partnerships.
Salary: £29,000
Location: Merton, Wandsworth and neighbouring boroughs.
Contract type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) working any five of seven days, evenings and weekends and anti-social hours as required

Role Purpose:
To increase the participation of women and girls in football and physical activity across all AFC Wimbledon Foundation programmes. This role will lead on the delivery, coordination, recruitment, and monitoring of all women’s and girls’ football provision that sits under the Foundation, contributing to the long-term development of an inclusive and accessible pathway for female participants.

Role description:
AFC Wimbledon Foundation are looking to recruit additional sessional coaches to deliver on our Youth Inclusion programmes, including PL Kicks, Holiday Activity Fund, and Food programmes for children eligible for Free School Meals, and Safer Spaces, a Greater London Authority funded initiative designed to reduce anti-social behaviour through sports.
The aim is to create inclusive diversionary activities away from criminal activity and anti-social behaviour, contributing to safer and stronger communities for our participants to play sport, be active and gain accreditations.
Location: Merton, Wandsworth and neighbouring boroughs.
Start: Immediate
Key working hours:
Normal working hours between 9.00am – 9.00pm any six of seven days, evenings and weekends, and anti-social hours as required.
Qualifications:
Essential:
FA Level 1
FA Emergency Aid
FA Safeguarding Children
Must have or complete an FA Enhanced DBS
Desirable:
FA Level 2
Hours: 6-12 per week
Salary: £13.50-£18.00 per hour

Volunteer Mentor
Role description:
A partnership of 10 Merton based youth organisations have secured an exciting grant from the Big Lottery, through the Propel initiative.
As a collective we are seeking volunteers to support our partnership programme, Motivate Merton. We are looking for individuals 21+, passionate about positive outcomes for young people and experience of empathy for the challenges they face growing up in London.
Please note, this is an unpaid volunteer role.
Commitment: 45-90 minute sessions, fortnightly 1:1 mentoring sessions. April 2025 - March 2026
Location: Various locations across the Merton borough
