Beautiful Box Hill - a challenge for the 40 mile riders

20 Velo and Blue Cyclists enjoyed our 2nd Dons Cycle Challenge on 6th April 2024
3 enjoyed a 30 mile ride while 17 took on the 40 mile cycle challenge.
Both routes started and finished at Plough Lane and circled parts of the beautiful Surrey countryside. The 40 mile route riders took on the extra challenge of Box Hill whereas the 30 mile riders will enjoy a slightly gentler ride. Riders enjoyed refreshment breaks along the route and everyone enjoyed a delicious, well earned hospitality lunch before watching the Dons beat Salford City 1-0 in front of a full house at Plough Lane
This social, charity cycle was open to anyone 16 and over and was non-competitive.
Our cyclists raised an amazing £7,5000 for AFC Wimbledon Foundation so we can continue helping our community pursue their dreams by improving people's skills, resilience, well-being and confidence.
