Foundation Day Delight

The Dons’ home game against Barrow coincided with our annual AFC Wimbledon Foundation Day as we celebrated our work in the local community.

Foundation staff and volunteers were on hand, selling raffle tickets to raise funds and help us build a healthier, stronger and equitable future in our local community.

The celebration then culminated with hundreds of dedicated flags being waved before kick-off, followed by participants attending the game taking part in a lap of appreciation at half-time, to widespread applause from the Wimbledon faithful.

Although the result on the pitch wasn’t what we had hoped for, 280 of our participants had a wonderful experience cheering on the Dons, with close to 100 of them joining Foundation staff and volunteers for the half-time parade.

Thank you to Gary Parker and MidexPRO, who donated £265 to help us smash our £5,000 target for the day.
