Job Vacancy: Health and Wellbeing Activator
AFC Wimbledon Foundation are looking for an ambitious, forward-thinking, and knowledgeable Health and Wellbeing Activator to develop and deliver Foundation health activities and initiatives.
The candidate will work with the Foundation’s Community Development Manager to expand on health activities that provide preventative care for older adults, carers, adults with additional needs, inactive adults, and adults at risk of/or suffering from social isolation, and those at risk of developing health conditions.
They will create new opportunities to increase the Foundation’s reach and expand the current health and wellbeing offering.
They will increase the Foundation’s profile across SW London, maintaining and strengthening our reputation as a trustworthy and community-focused deliverer.
In particular, they will work with the Community Development Manager and local partners to plan, lead and deliver a framework of adult and older health interventions throughout Merton that improve outcomes for largely disadvantaged members of the community.
Description
Full Time: 5 days per week (including some evening and weekend work)
Contract: 1-year fixed term subject to performance review and funding
Salary: 25-27k pro rata depending on qualification and experience
Department: Social Inclusion/Health
Reports to: Community Development Manager
