Maddison Stars for the Dons

I like how the coaches plan the sessions and make them super fun.
— Maddison, aged 14

14 year old Maddison first started attending our Girls Squad sessions a little over a year ago and has since starred in a Kicks fixture against Crystal Palace at Plough Lane.

Maddison, who also attended our February Holiday Course, has met lots of new people at AFC Wimbledon Foundation’s programmes, as well as bringing three of her friends to our Squad sessions for the first time.

Maddison has grown in confidence massively since starting our Girls Squad sessions. She is very respectful to the coaches and the rest of the girls.
— Nicole, Female Football Development Officer

During February half-term Maddison was chosen to represent AFC Wimbledon Foundation’s Kicks programme against their Crystal Palace counterparts on the 5-a-side pitch at Plough Lane. The day included fixtures for girls and boys teams, a stadium tour and an LGBTQ+ workshop. Maddison was a key member of the team, in a tightly-contested 6-6 draw.

Through the Foundation’s programmes, Maddison has grown in confidence, challenging herself in new and exciting environments with other players.
