Taking place before the Wombles Walk and instead of our usual Saturday morning Football For All session, The Wombles Cup is a fun, 5 a-side football tournament for children ages 6-15.

Children will play in teams of 5 in age specific tournament groups.

Timings

10am: Registration (in Wimbledon Park near Revelstoke Road entrance)

10.30am: Tournament Starts

12.30pm: Tournament Ends

1.00pm: 5km Wombles Walk Starts in Wimbledon Park

2pm/ 2.30pm: 5km Wombles Walk ends at Plough Lane (depending on pace)

3pm: AFC Wimbledon vs Tranmere Rovers

The Wombles Walk

All players and families are welcome to join us afterwards on the Wombles Walk, a 5km sponsored walk back to Plough Lane to raise funds for AFC Wimbledon Foundation.

All fundraisers will get a FREE ticket to AFC Wimbledon vs Tranmere Rovers.

The walk is open to everyone and is non-competitive.

All walkers will receive fundraising support, an AFC Wimbledon Foundation t-shirt and a finishers medal when we get to the Cherry Red Records Stadium before the game vs Tranmere Rovers.

1.00pm: Walk starts (after our Wombles Cup Children’s Football Tournament)

2.00pm: Walkers begin to arrive at Plough Lane

3.00pm: AFC Wimbledon kick off against Tranmere Rovers

The walk should take 1 hour to complete.
