Former Wimbledon players & Dons Cycle Challenge team members John Scales, Damien Francis and Mikey Haswell are lending their support to the 2026 Dons Cycle Challenge, helping to raise vital funds for the work of the Foundation.

Next Saturday, 14th March, a team of dedicated Dons fans & Foundation supporters will take on a 50-mile sponsored cycle from Plough Lane to Lamex Stadium, finishing with the opportunity to cheer on AFC Wimbledon away at Stevenage FC.

Now in its fourth year, the Velo and Blue Away Day Ride has become a highlight of the Foundation’s fundraising calendar. Each mile ridden helps generate vital funding to support the Foundation’s work across south west London.

AFC Wimbledon Foundation currently supports thousands of people every week, delivering programmes that use sport, education and community activity to improve lives. This includes work with children and young people, initiatives supporting women and girls in football, and activities helping older adults stay active and socially connected.

The Dons Cycle Challenge is another example of people coming together to support those who need it most, and it's going to be the biggest team we have had to date!

While the riders will be putting in the miles on the road to Stevenage, supporters can still play a crucial role by backing the challenge through donations.

Every contribution helps ensure the Foundation can continue delivering programmes that tackle isolation, support mental wellbeing, and create opportunities for people of all ages - from young children taking their first steps in football to older adults staying active and connected.
