Chloe Can’t Stop Scoring This Summer

6-year-old Chloe was nervous when she joined AFC Wimbledon Foundation’s Holiday Courses for the first time last week, but now she can’t stop scoring goals and making new friends!

Chloe took part in the Girls Only group within our Kellogg’s Football Camps, where participants enjoy training, games, matches and tournaments in a safe and welcoming environment. Despite the nerves, she immediately became part of the group, and even won player of the week for her fantastic attitude and energy.

From being nervous on arrival to winning player of the week, the confidence and smile has grown every day
— Scott Lockwood, Football Development Officer

Chloe’s Dad Danny brought her along after hearing positive reports about the structured, friendly sessions through friends, in order to provide Chloe fun, physical activity and the chance to make new friends. Chloe said she has learned a lot of new skills, including how to nutmeg and the ‘penguin dribble’.

Although she isn’t currently a Wimbledon fan, Chloe has enjoyed the camps so much that she may become one from now on. Chloe says her favourite things about the Holiday Courses has been making friends and scoring lots of goals

Matches have been fun, I have become more confident and have had a happy time
— Chloe, age 6
