Fun in the Sun at May half-term

With glorious sunshine throughout, it was a fantastic week on our May Half-Term Holiday Course at Aspire @ Southfields.

The week started on a high note with a visit from AFC Wimbledon star Paul Kalambayi, who joined us to help inspire the next generation of players.

Paul signed autographs and answered some tough questions in a Q & A with the kids.

‘PK’ then took to the pitch himself, joining in the afternoon’s games and even scored a goal!

You can see some highlights of Paul’s visit and watch an interview with him and our Community Sports Coach Maddi Sweetman on AFC Wimbledon’s Youtube channel by clicking here.

"I love that there's lots of kind people, we do lots of teamwork and play loads of fun games" - Karem, 9

With just over 100 kids joining us this half-term to hone their skills, play games and win prizes, it’s been an energetic and exciting week for everyone involved. It was fantastic to see so many children in Wimbledon shirts representing the Dons! We cater to all abilities, so we’d love you to join us for our Summer course. Keep an eye on our website for when they are available to book in the next couple of weeks.

“The coaches are nice, we get to practice skills and play matches” - Sophie, 10

Although Half-Term has finished, you can still join us between now and the Summer Holidays at our Saturday morning Football for All sessions in Wimbledon Park!
