Paul is Cycling to expand the work of the Foundation

On Saturday our very own Fundraising Manager Paul Munro is taking on the Dons Cycle Challenge to help expand the work of the Foundation.

Paul joined AFC Wimbledon Foundation in 2021, organising a variety of fundraising events since then. Paul organised our first Wombles Walk at the end of that season, shortly followed by an Abseil Challenge at Plough Lane.

Since then, he’s lead a Cycle Challenge to Leyton Orient and another Wombles Walk earlier this season pictured below.

The Dons Cycle Challenge 2 is Paul’s toughest challenge yet

He’s taking on 40 miles including Box Hill ahead of Saturday’s game against Salford, along with a group of people who want to help our local community.

Having helped AFC Wimbledon Foundation achieve the target of engaging and inspiring 3500 people every week, Paul wants to go even further, helping our community pursue their dreams.

Working for AFC Wimbledon Foundation I have seen first-hand what the power of sport can do
— Paul Munro, Head of Fundraising

Paul’s kids, Reggie and Millie, now attend AFC Wimbledon Foundation’s Player Development Centre and Holiday Courses, improving at football while having fun.

Paul understands how valuable an active lifestyle can be and wants to help the Foundation deliver even more impactful programmes, across Merton, Wandsworth and Kingston.
