£15,000 raised thanks to end of season event

The event last Saturday was a fantastic success as it raised over £15,000 for our Foundation.

Foundation Director Phil Rudling said: “The Womble Walk was a tremendous event and we were really pleased with the energy and enthusiasm of all the participants on what was a beautiful day on Wimbledon Common. The event was very much a celebration of the work of the Foundation and had a real community feel to it with young and old walking together."

Sixty walkers took part, ranging from 10 months old to over 70, meaning that there was a sea of blue and yellow on the route from Wimbledon Common to the Cherry Red Records Stadium.

The event is over, but there's still time to make a donation to our Foundation by sponsoring Haydon the Womble.

Visit Haydon's JustGiving page to make a donation.

Don't forget that we've got our Family Fun Day coming up on Sunday 15 May with an opportunity to take on the Dons Abseil Challenge.
