Armed Forces Week - Signing of the covenant

This Armed Forces week, we reflect on Our Armed Forces Covenant Signing Event, held on Tuesday 16th June, was a proud milestone for the Foundation and a meaningful celebration of our commitment to the Armed Forces community.

The event brought together veterans, serving personnel, reservists, cadet units, partners, and staff for a morning that truly reflected our values of community, respect, and support.

A key moment of the day was the formal signing of the Covenant by our CEO, Phil Hastings, alongside Brigadier Sam Cates, marking our shared commitment to ensuring fair treatment, accessible opportunities, and a welcoming environment for those who serve and their families.

Hosted in the Legends Lounge at the stadium, the event had a warm and engaging atmosphere, with plenty of conversation, connection, and reflections on the importance of supporting the Armed Forces community. Representatives from across the local network shared their experiences and highlighted the positive impact organisations like ours can have.

We also showcased the work we already deliver, from our Veterans’ Breakfast Café to our partnerships with local cadet units and service organisations, and looked ahead to new opportunities to strengthen this support.

A special thank‑you goes to Jack Parry from the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association for Greater London for his guidance and support in helping us bring this over the line. His collaboration was invaluable in making the event such a success.

Events like this remind us of the power of community and the importance of standing alongside those who serve. We’re proud to have taken this step and look forward to continuing this work together.
